La Cucina
I think I’m a pretty good cook and devour anything with a hint of chilli & spice. It has taken 5 years for my palette to become accustomed to the blandness of Italian food. A staple diet consisting of tomato, mushroom, ham, cream, oil and rosemary…oh yeah, and lashings of salt.. there are about a zillion recipes that have apparently been passed down for the last million years. Every Italian nonna has a century old recipe book waiting to be discovered.
Here is my shot at attempting to cook what is commonly known as one of the world’s best cuisines! Wish me luck!

Ever made an attempt to/ true ‘risotto alla milanese’ with ‘ossi buchi’ and ‘gremolata’, accompanied by a good dry red ‘Bonarda’ or ‘Inferno’ wine? (I didn’t make use of my dialect in order not to make things even more difficult…)

I cant say that I have. To be honest, my husband is the cook of the house and he makes the best asparagus risotto ever!! Lucky me that its currently Asparagus season!
I will mention this to him and ask him to cook it for me one day. Thanks for the tip!

Ah thank you so much for your lovely comment – yes, extremely lucky indeed although im sure my waist line would disagree!
We live in London actually but aspire to live in Italy one day in the future – my husband longs for the day when he can sit in the sun, eating gelato and drinking Aperol spritz! Doesnt sound bad to me either.. x

Kelly Ann, (are these your two names, aren’t they?) as a matter of fact if he is the official cook ;o), and most likely he is Venetian or just from Veneto, he can cook great, yet not all that unwealthy, dishes the Venetian or Veneto way ;o).

If you learn to use well MedIterralian ;o) food, cuisine & beverage (I can explain), with just a bit of Japanese and Icelandish, you can even slim, not put on weight…
